O.K. my 2 wheeled Brethren, I sent all of you a personal e-mail with info for the Auburndale/East Bay double header, if you did not get my e-mail with info about both of those races please send me P.M. and I will add you to the list. I am planning to add a Senior or Super senior class to both of these events if we can get at least 5 entries for the class. I also hope to add a vintage class if we get 5 riders min. PLease spread the word as this is the only way to help this sport grow in Florida.
PLease reply if your planning to attend the April 19/20 events?

Yep. It's going in the area directly behind the pits.
It's coming along well, considering I haven't had much time to work on it the past couple of weeks.
I worked on it all day today until I got rained out
I will post a new thread specifically for details of the new track. I will have someone post some progress pictures of the construction.

Ben and I are planning on making Auburdale and are going to try to do East bay, both for the nite and the race. We will do the exhibition as long as it isn't too rough and rutted. Would like to see if we could get more seat time! lol (5 or 6 laps) As far as a vintage class goes, that would be great since we ride 70's era bikes (Ben: Yam TT500; Richard: Hon FT500) and I'm not quite a senior or super senior! lol
By the way, will we be able to camp out on East Bay? It would definitely help keep the cost down. Richard

Hey Brady/Shawn
Think you will have any practices like you used to? Know of any other tracks that might have some practices?

I just negotiated a permit extension from the girlfriend and I'll be at both now instead of just Auburndale on the CRF. Aub. will be my 3 rd flat track race ever, and first in almost 2 yrs!
What time do you think we'll be getting done at E Bay?

hey guys, me and a few friends and family are starting a vintage racing team,(wach iss racing) were all racing honda 350's from 68 to 74. seems like quit a few friends of mine are interested in flat track racing, so were at it . hope to make new and good friends racing flat track.
was going over the rules the other night and thought that the vintage class should only have air cooled motors and 30 to 50 year old vintage riders. what do you guys think?

What are the rules? DT frame, CC size? Single/V-Twin? Yamaha TZ750 in a frame...Oh thats water cooled, never mind.
I started on a Honda 350 in a DT frame before job, marriage and kids got in the way.
I would be interested.

Hey OC1
Loved the XL's during that time. Were you in Florida. I used to love watching Glen Barry and Jon Roberts back then. Mike Gerald at the Dome too. Raced a SL125 all over Fla. Then 250 Yam. Just got back into racing this year . Running vintage class as well. Bring on the friends and family. The more the merrier. Been having a blast. The Brady Bunch....(sorry)........Brady,Rick, Dave, Shawn and am sure more putting on a great show.

about the vintage deal, one of the reasons that the age limit is 14 and not 30 is
because theres guys like me, not too many i know, who ride in the vintage class.
Im 18 and i ride a 1978 Yamaha TT500 so if the rule gets changed ill only be able to
ride in one class, not that bothers me too much lol
