I'm gonna be looking at an 05 sportsman 800 today, looks to be a good deal but I'm not sure what to look for on these bikes

The guy did some work to this bike which kinda scares me...
(this is how the listing reads): I raised the compression from 10:1 to 12:1, installed a after market exhaust pipe, modified the clutch and a after market belt now this bike can run with a 800 cam am, also this bike has a snorkel kit just replaced the brakes, and comes with all the fluids for bike. This bike has been over maintained with 156 hrs....

Any help would be greatly appreciated..
ie. common problems/flaws
I'm gonna try to post the pic from the listing

Keeter has one of those, buy his instead. He's modified nada on his bike.

Any particular reason to stay clear of polaris, or just personal preference?    Is Keeter selling his bike?
