1 hr. before thanksgiving dinner I was riding around the house and was standing up when my foot slipped off the foot peg. The no no part was I was wearing flip flops my toe dug in the dirt and the peg hit the back of my leg bending my foot straight back the pain was horrible the worst I have ever felt. My foot turned black and blue and started to swell up fast. End result was broke the big toe bruised the bone and tore some muscles and tendons. HARD HARD lesson learned.

its not the broken toe, or the torn muscles that hurt the most.
its the "oh man i'm dead, my wife is gonna kill me for ruining thanksgiving"
thats more painful than anything you can inflect on yourself.

maybe not, but at least it was a Thanksgiving that the family will never forget!!  We were glad when we got the phone call from mom, but grossed out by the details. but very happy that u are ok. |

I feel ya man! My first experience was going up a burm with no goggles or boots. The rider in front of me shot dirt right into my eyes just as I reached the top behind him. Needless to say, my quad went up into the air about 8ft., came down and landed on my ankle with no boots.
I was instantly aware that my ankle was more important than I thought when I tried to stand up. After that, I understood why everyone wears riding gear!! That happened a while ago, but everytime I go riding now I wear all my gear.
